Just one thing

I just thought I’d share as it is a sequel to Michael Mosley’s podcast but on the BBC iPlayer as a second series, in his honour no doubt. Not that these are particularly revelatory or remarkable, but it is always beneficial to be reminded about what can lift our spirits and brain. I also like Clive Myrie, he’s a good presenter.

Just one thing.

Great link – I really must do all that stuff.
:check_mark:  :+1:

For now, a little mindfulness.
There is a beautiful blue bright sky morning out there,
My car winks and blinks sunlight at me,
The bin men are here with their beep, beep, beep, wagon.
I will cast my sticks, ring my bell and read from the book of changes.

A new day.

I walked well on the zimmer this morning. My hurtie bits don’t hurt as much today. Husband and I have worked out a Plan to help me negotiate the step through the back door.

I hope you left them out a Christmas tip …

Thanks for this Rupert.

I have seen these but do prefer the punchier original podcasts my Michael Mosley. Happily, they are still available on the BBC iPlayer.

Clive Myrie - here’s a coincidence.

Clive Myrie went to the same school as me. He is a few years younger than me, but we were at school at the same time - he may have been two or three years behind me. I must say I don’t recall seeing him but then again there are quite a few kids and because we were in different years the only time our paths would cross would be assembly or playtime etc.

I was OK with him to start with but I think the BBC are over using him and I feel, and maybe I am wrong, he is a “woke” or politically correct representative of the ethnic minorities. I remember Moira Stuart when she was one of the few ethnic minorities and I don’t think she was “over exposed”.

I am also not a big fan of Zoe Ball for similar reasons - just my personal views, but she was “promoted” into the positions on a politically correct basis rather than merit. I appreciate this could be opening a can of worms as people tend to have strong views on the subject, but personally, I feel political correctness has gone mad and I think the BBC is particularly over zealous on the subject.

All in all, I prefer the podcasts and in this case the original is much better than the remake

I suspect the BBC are using him as much as possible because of his good standing since a certain overused Welsh newsreader and presenter is no longer on television.

Isn’t that an oxymoron? :joy:
