Well for starters I’ve not had a stroke, so I can’t do the comparison thing. I’m Bobbi’s carer, keeper of the key and wife. So maybe a comparison of him and me would do?

Sagittarius – Optimistic, full of expectation, friendly, generous, indulgent, fair, free, philosophical, playful, and energetic.

Bobbi said that was really me.
I wouldn’t. I suppose it’s almost me, without the energetic, I’m definitely not energetic or free

As for him well…
Taurus – Passive, co-operative, creative, harmonious, beautiful, affectionate, moderate, indulgent, resistant, and sociable.
beautiful? emm let me think on that one, in or out?! moderate - in what? I looked that one up - emm I suppose.

I’m Scorpio and born in the year of the dragon, giving me a double whammy of aggression and fight. A Scorpio born in the Year of the Dragon <combines the intensity and passion of Scorpio with the charisma and ambition of the Dragon,This pairing can result in a person who is fiercely independent, confident, and driven, with a strong desire for success and recognition

I like it Hilary

I think I may have not been very clear when I suggested you could chip in, but I like what you did better

My original intention was that Bobbi would compare and contrast the pre and post stroke Bobbi and then you as his carer, keeper of the key and wife would do the same and then we would see how the two sets of descriptions compare.

So what differences do you see in the pre-post stroke Bobbi and what differences does he himself see?

Now as you started with a “for starters”, if I may, I’d like to finish with a “And finally”
And finally, I too have not had a stroke (at least that I am aware of - have we not had members coming here saying they’ve had strokes that remained undetected for many years?) and so I too cannot do the comparison thing

Now see what you’ve started @Bobbi!!!

I’m very much the same person I was before the stroke. I acquired a certain amount of disability but it’s still me here inside. I just checked no-one slipped into my place here, I move slower, more clumsily, so maybe appearances have changed, yup it’s still me though.

However as a solid stubborn Taurean, set in his ways, someone who prefers to enjoy life, it is delightful post stroke to have an alternative incarnation, as an Aquarian. Variety is the spice of life they do say.

Talking about sayings, when I asked Hilary your question about me changing she immediately answered, "Nope, no change still the same ars***le ".

She likes to say it as it is.

And that’s why we love her

Good to know you are still the same person you were before the stroke

From Wikipaedia

A magazine is a periodical publication, print or digital, produced on a regular schedule, that contains any of a variety of subject-oriented textual and visual forms.

They are categorised by their frequency of publication (i.e., as weeklies, monthlies, quarterlies, etc.), their target audiences (e.g., women’s and trade magazines), their subjects of focus (e.g., popular science and religious), and their tones or approach (e.g., works of satire or humor).

A zine - short for magazine, is a magazine that is a noncommercial often homemade or online publication usually devoted to specialized and often unconventional subject matter.

Zines are the product of either a single person or of a very small group.

Historically, zines have provided community for socially isolated individuals or groups through the ability to express and pursue common ideas and subjects.

For this reason, zines have cultural and academic value as tangible traces of marginal communities, many of which are otherwise little-documented.

Zines present groups, that have been dismissed, with an opportunity to voice their opinion both with other members of their own communities or with a larger audience.

All serious stuff, here for you to use and enjoy, thanks to this little space provided and furnished by the Stroke Association.
