I Read on here but can’t fing the post again,that one of you dribbles or drools like me.Thanks to the paralysis down my left side and the lack of use of my face muscles,I Too dribble,drives me made and I Have to have a towel to mop up the mess all the time❣️ 🜁

More mouth saliva, bad breath

Bit of a strange one but has anyone else ended up with more mouth saliva ( dribbling) and bad breath since their stroke? Prior to the stroke I’d been a smoker for about 30 years but never a heavy smoker. I now vape but a couple of times a day. But my wife and daughters have noticed my breath is awful. Since the stroke I tend to mouth breathe a lot more, especially at night. I also mouth dribble at times. Is this a common and permanent result of the stroke? I do brush my teeth twice a day an…

I never wrote about dribbles.
It wasn’t me.

but

if it’s any consolation

I have an old tea towel by my bed, a sort of comfort blanket.

It is very necessary but only occasionally these days

I have a face cloth where I sit to watch television.

It’s also handy at meal times when that hole in my lower lip leaks food down my front.

Us what have had a stroke get this stuff happens. Sometimes.

I don’t tend to write about dribbles

but here I am

And it is better talked about

than not.
