Right again!! I guess I better find another Rebus.
I think this may be what i had for breakfast today.
Scrambled eggs
I was veering towards six of one and half a dozen of the other, but what was the logic for that?
As for the One in a Million, I thought it might have been 1 in the middle.
Looks like the Rubus puzzles are not causing you any bother at all.
If I am not mistaken - Rebus is a fictional character created by Iain Rankin and it was a TV series. I think Rankin is Scottish and so is Rebus. I vaguely remember a thick accent.
Nearly had him confused with another character Robbie Coltraine’s Cracker.
I love these sorts of puzzles but find I either get them easily or don’t get them at all. A misspent youth i think.
I think you are right re Rebus being a fictional character too. My mum often reads / watches them.
It is scrambled eggs. But I must admit, I like all the attempted answers. Here’s another one for you.
Let’s look at the evidence …
There is the word TROUBLE in capitals - is that some sort of warning? Capitals - anger?
Then there are the colours, Red, Green and BLUE - cleverly hidden in the last four letters. Again, red is some sort of warning or danger sign.
What about the italicised fonts for the red letters?
Then there are the letters that could represent words
T - tea or tee
U - You or Ewe
B - Be or Bee
R - Are
Put it all together and what do you get?
There is no punctuation marks, just letters
There was a ? then there might be the possibility of a question or if there was a ! then that could be an alert or warning.
So in the absence of the punctuation marks, I see two possibilities or should that be
I C 2 possibilities?
I could ask a question OR I could make a remark.
I think I should sleep on it. I find that if I set the brain a task and then let it work on it in the background or as I sleep, it more often than not comes back with a result
C U L8r.
Red letter day?
This one is a little harder. I wonder if the red letters signify anything but I am going to say:
U R in trouble or rather you are in trouble.
It could though be Are you in trouble but as manjiB says there isn’t a question mark. So 1st option is my answer.
ManjiB --your thought processes remind me of Sherlock Holmes.
Mrs5k-- U R >>>>>
I love Sherlock Holmes - Basil Rathbone and Nigel Bruce classics are my favourite.
I also like other detectives - Jack Frost in a Touch of Frost would be up there too.
Of course you do! Elementary, my dear ManjiB.
Another famous quote from Sherlock-- “Crime is common. Logic is rare. Therefore it is upon the logic rather than upon the crime that you should dwell."
Ooooo this one is difficult.
My initial “thought” is:
Not my first thought but my 2nd one.
But am not sure so off to get the cogs working.
So what do we have?
A pink/beige background with red text.
Text is shouting at me - it’s both red and capitalised and possibly bold though that cannot be ascertained.
There three words, two of which are the same.
The word BUT is above the word THOUGHT.
Thought/thinking/but?
There are two thoughts - Two schools of thought?
Then there is Ann’s Initial or first thought and second thought.
If you’re thinking twice, maybe you are having doubts?
If you doubt yourself, you think again and you have second thoughts?
I am having second thoughts about this puzzle !
@ManjiB you may have just helped a little. The way you have laid out your thoughts suggests to me that the answer may be:
But on 2nd thoughts.
As the BUT is above (on) the 2nd thought.
I think that’s part of a popular saying
Will think some more just in case we haven’t solved it yet.
Yes–you got it! It is “but on second thought.” OK you smart kids. Here’s another one. See what you think.
Oh now that’s git me thinking a little.
Not sure about the blob so i started with the NV which when I said it out loud sounded like ENVY so got to thinking about phrases with Envy in them.
Still not sure about blob but looking at the colour of it I say it might be
GREEN WITH ENVY
Am i anywhere near?
That’s exactly it. It is “Green with NV (envy)”. I haven’t been able to stump you yet. I’ll keep trying.
Oh yay – I really wasn’t sure about it was green with envy. That blob confused me
This one sums me up – I fell over lots of times I suspect they didn’t do a puzzle about me though so I thought again.
So we have” I fell” written lots of times in different sizes starting with large at the bottom and getting smaller towards the top.
When I say “I fell” out loud multiple times it starts to sound a bit like Eiffel so that got me thinking about Paris and I am therefore going to guess:
“Eiffel Tower”
Somewhere I have yet to visit. It’s been on my list for a long time just never got around to doing anything about it.
Ooooooo I got it yay. I wasn’t sure about that puzzle at all. It suddenly came to me and it sort of made sense.
Today’s though I think is
what goes up must come down
Or at least that’s what I see.
