Beets for Energy

I was reminded this weekend how great red beets are for the heart and energy because they are a source of nitric oxide. So yesterday I popped three in the instant pot and cooked under high pressure. Afterwards I ate a few slices, and I poured some of the juice into a wine glass and started sipping. My before-stroke energy did not return, but I did feel well enough to boost the amount of PT I did in the afternoon. This morning I awoke a 5., ready to do some (PT) "“work.” As I write, I am drinking more juice and reading up on the benefits of NIR light therapy which I used to know quite a bit about. BTW, nitric oxide lowers blood pressure. That is only one of the amazing things it does. Have a lovely Monday . Trooper

Good show Trooper,

and, the other day I could feel a tingling sensation on my leg as nitric oxide dissociated from my cytochrome c oxidase… that means my traumatised mitochondria are making a come-back… how did I do it ? 2 Week in the Sun in sunny Kos. Remember 90% of our energy comes from these “mighty condria” so if anyone’s crying about fatigue here’s a hint !!!

Enjoy, Roland
