What’s the matter with your leg?

I think this is a victory. Yesterday, in my exercise class, a woman asked me the question above. I explained about my stroke, which surprised her. Then she responded with stories of the dire effect of stroke on others. I then showed her the FES machine on my leg and demonstrated how it works....this is now my main party trick.

Seriously, though, I do recommend  regular exercise classes as it does help to improve things no end. My class if for the over 60s and we are encouraged to do what we can and hold on to the chair if necessary. Each session starts with senior aerobics and is followed by simple circuit training. The class ends with seated Tai Chi, which is really good for the arm and hand.

The oldest class member is 90 and walks in on a frame. No excuses folks!
