Our bungalow has a fare sized plot that lends itself to to raised beds and the strawberries are secured round the back infront of my shed , our bird nets have arrived to protect against birds when the fruit starts growing.
@Bobbi , I reckon you can get the equivalent of a dash-cam for your scooter. Not sure where though. Or, record your trip on the smart phone. Make sure it’s securely mounted before you do any trips.
@mrfrederickson , I might consider Amazon. I’ve not had a good time with them. Most things I ordered either never turned up or turned up broken or a mixed up order. To be honest, I’m kind of put off from shopping online.
Aw come now, weren’t you just the same yourself as a kid And besides, at least you know they were getting one of their five a day. And they got learn what real strawberries taste like, that’s a luxury you don’t get from the supermarkets
Further to my earlier post I have ordered a handlebar smartphone holder that I hope will make taking a movie from my scooter a viable option.
We will see. It might work, it might not.
A lot of these holders grip securely but obstruct the camera window.
I picked this particular model because it looks easy to attach and remove from the handle bars. I’ve yet to discovery if it fixes securely enough to be reliable. (It does seem to grip pretty securely)
I would also have liked to be able to set the camera either vertical or horizontal.
I don’t think the one I ordered will allow this. (it turns out that the ball and socket joint makes for easy adjustability)
My smartphone fits securely into the holder.
Life is often about dealing with limitations and hindrances. Finding a compromise that allows a useful solution is more important than dwelling on negative aspects.
My order should arrive within a week and then I will be able to see what it lets me do.
This is the relatively inexpensive model I ordered from Ebay: GREFAY Bike Phone Holder Motorbike [1S 70mm x x 90mm, Gray (Suitable for motorcycles, bicycles, treadmills, scooters, etc. with handlebar diameters of 22-45 mm)
Good weather – time to be out and about
Getting out in the sun and taking a few pictures to record and share the experience is pleasant to anticipate.
I hope this inspires you to go out and make a visual diary of your adventures where ever you roam and whatever you get up to.
Nice motor Mister.
I am right side weakened and was quite daunted when I realised that the forward control lever on my scooter is on the right side.
I had hoped the lever could be moved to the other side but it proved impossible.
Well I decided I’d have to use my ‘duff’ hand’ and fingers. Gradually some use returned and I am reasonably proficient with the scooter now.
I am a bit clumsy and I do go very carefully but it works. If you use your weak side it does seem to start repairs happening.
Don’t let any fears or preconceptions stand in your way. My experience has shown me that improvement does happen. The changes have been small but enough to make a difference.
Be patient , be pleased with small successes and the overall picture begins to look rosier. As you will discover bits and pieces will wake up if you encourage them.
(You could start by gripping and ungripping the fingers. If nothing seems to happen don’t give up. Just sending the ‘command’ to make them work will eventually make the connection. You might get only a slight reaction but over time this will grow if you persevere.)
When you find you can use the hand to hold on, then you are getting somewhere.
This isn’t a first past the post race so just let things take as long as they need.
