Spirited Away

Greetings @Mick1 - Welcome to the community.

Hopefully your goal to leave the house without the stick will be realised soon. I mean you could leave the house without the stick right now, for example, if you have a partner who can hold your hand? I say this, not to be trivial or anything like that, but about 20 years ago one of my cousins was looking after her elderly father who was unable to walk and that is how she got him walking!!

Every day with a little bit of physio to warm up / loosen muscles etc. and then with a bear hug, she would slowly help him to stand up, supporting him all the time and then she would walk backwards and he would walk forwards. Tiny steps to start with but it paid off and in the end he was able to do it by himself.

It wasn’t easy and a lot of hard work went in for many months.

Now, if that doesn’t inspire you even more after Roland’s rather impressive achievement then I guess we’ll just have to dig a little deeper for it is possible.

One thing that occurs as I write this, and I am a big fan of Roland and what he does, I would like to suggest to you, if it is at all possible do this one thing to help you - Walk / stand bear foot on grass. It’s called earthing and I am a believer in this as is Roland.

It is truly wonderful - you just need a patch of grass - in your back garden or a nearby park or similar.

Wishing you all the best.
