Outdoors on my scooter on a sunny day

I’m aware this isn’t of interest to everyone but I post this for any who might enjoy it.

A while ago I bought a device to clamp my phone to my scooter handle bar.

During the spell of sunshine we had a few days ago I went out to give it a try.

The videos I shot were about 30 minutes and 15 minutes long.
Both phone and clamp functioned well.
A quick release makes it easy to remove the phone and also to detach the clamp.
Movies can be shot in either portrait or landscape view.

Riding a scooter in the countryside

Portrait view movie – 30 minutes

Landscape view movie – 15 minutes

Thanks for your indulgence.
I hope someone enjoys what I have done.

It looks lovely there & great to get out on a sunny day. Having a scooter does bring some independence that we otherwise wouldn’t have.

I even saw that rare thing that is a post van :scream: in our area they are like gold dust. Post arrives about once a month if we’re lucky these days :grimacing:

Just watched the first video, spoiler alert, stuck outside the church :joy::bell: and none of the exiting congregation thought to ask if you were okay. Lots of cow parsley and buttercups on your verges, those pavements are a bit lumpy though, and your stint across the cobbles must of been a bit of a bone shaker. Going to watch the second one now. Enjoyed.

Just watched the sequel, less drama but still as good. You certainly put the pedal to the metal on the way back.

Just brilliant!! Found it so relaxing and soothing just to sit and watch you eat up that road…you have a future in making mindfulness/relaxation vids! Thankyou so much x

Thanks @Susie1 I thoroughly enjoyed my scootering and when I got home had to hit the hay being thoroughly relaxed myself. I was totally zonked.

I’m looking forward to more good weather and more adventures. It’s good to know camera can film continuously for at least 30 minutes, that scooter is well up to the job and I can manage it, just about.

I am very pleased to share and hope it is not too boring a watch.

Thanks @Susie1 sometimes life just carries us along. Other times it’s like a log jam that just keeps throwing up problems.

When times are difficult a few words of encouragement, like yours, can make a difference that counts.

It is a great strength of this forum and its community that we can be sharing, supportive and also benefit from one another’s good will and experience.

It is a pleasure to share but wonderful to realise one is not alone.

Thank you.

You are too kind @Susie1 but I will take you at your word.

I’m a great believer in positive thinking, mindfulness, thinking in the now, whatever one calls it.

Maybe video can convey this as you suggest.

I’ll give it a shot.
After all I can only fail.

Thanks :+1:

Definitely…i think it was the light sunshine, smooth movement and quiet voice of your video that gave a calming effect (right auld Barry Norman me!) x

These videos are so therapeutic

I love the sounds; the birds chirping, the sound of the crackle as the wheels roll on the gritty pavements and the “silence” as the crackle becomes the background.

Seeing the blue skies and the greenery is so relaxing.

I love this.

I am going to make a suggestion and I am not sure if you will consider it but I think doing a similar trip in the rain would be quite amazing. Whilst we wouldn’t be able to smell it, there is a wonderful smell when it first starts raining and the earth starts to dampen. One of those smells you love and never forget.

Well done and thank you for sharing.
