I’m ok thanks. I think we all get those days where we’re fed up of being like we are. We come through them though. I allow myself a little time to wallow from time to time tgen remind myself it changes nothing, just makes me miserable then I find I am able yo continue on again.

If you look back you have come further than you think & you’ll keep progressing too although sometimes we don’t notice the small changes.

I imagine it’s a combination of everything. Using the splint ans exercising. It all helps retrain the brain.

Before my stroke I used to get migraine with aura so I went blind with kaleidoscope effect in my eyes.

Since my stroke I haven’t had any till now. Every so often I go slightly blind in same eye.

Don’t know why

I’ve heard a few people report that their migraines stopped after their stroke. I guess it is because the brain area that caused the migraines has been disrupted. It perhaps makes sense that as the brain rewires they might start to come back again. Hopefully less frequently than before.

It’s just happened a couple of times in the last 2 months.

I’ve also noticed that the top of my stroke hand gets very hot during the day even when it’s cool. Room temperature yesterday and today was 19’c my hand was 29’c.

Could it be because of my stroke

Temperature control can alter after a stroke. Some people find they feel the cold more others get hot. It’s possible your hand getting hot is stroke related. If it has only just started happening though it might bd worth getting it checked.

Thanks for the advice Anne.

I had a chest xray last week as I’ve been coughing for weeks and they referred me for a ct scan because they found something.

My mother died of a stroke in her 60s

Hope you don’t have too long a wait for the CT scan & that all is ok with the results. Coughing all the time can be draining on its own.
