I wondered if it is anything to do with the botox. Ask them next time or phone them up John.

I will Lorraine it’s in next month or month after
Hi John,
It is something that can be caused by a lack of movement in the arm. As it is your affected arm it sounds like it will be because of that but it also says you should get it checked out just in case it is something else. I would advise you mention it to your GP.
Hi Anne here are what I’m using in my routine. The black thing is to help foot drop, the blue thing is to help strengthen my fingers and the grey thing is for my foot to roll on but I don’t know what it’s for
They all look like good things to help with your issues. Anything that can help is worth persevering with. I’m not sure exactly what the last one is but it will be helping keep your foot supple and likely reducing muscle contraction which will help with your walking.
Thanks for the advice Anne. I tried stretch bands but they were too wide for my foot.
I have my electrode appointment on 28th.
My wrist is able to be bent up abit now
Hope your appointment goes well.
Great to hear you are getting extra movement back in your wrist. Your hard work is starting to pay dividends.
It’s the botox that causing that to happen Anne. Each time I have it something else releases
Hi Anne things are moving but I’ve got no strength in my arm
You will need to build the strength back up gradually. It takes a long time to get it back especially after something like a stroke.
How do I do that Anne.
I have a stretch band that I pull with my fingers as the physio said it strengthens my arm I don’t know what else to do
Have a look at this link. There are some useful suggestions there. Hopefully there is one or two that you will be able to do.
I’ve got something like that Anne but thanks for trying.
I have a friend in hospital who lives in Scotland she went in last weekend with pneumonia. She had a drain done on Saturday but not heard from her since and I’m worried
It may be that she is just resting up so she can recover quicker. Pneumonia can be quite fatiguing and she may be finding keeping in touch with people exhausting. Hopefully you’ll hear from her soon. You could try ringing the hospital to see if they’ll let you speak to her.
I called today but didn’t have enough info for them to find her
Thanks for explaining things. She actually had a heart attack on my birthday and survived that is why I’m worried.
She’s 55 and from Scotland
Try not to worry. She’s in the best place to get the treatment she needs. It could be that there isn’t a mobile signal in the hospital. If she’s had a heart attack as well it might just be taking her a while to get some energy back. A friend of mine was in hospital with pneumonia a while ago and it took him many weeks to start to feel right again. If you aren’t able to get hold of her it’s just a waiting game. I’m sure she’ll be in touch when she is able to be.
I’ve actually been able to get out walking today Anne. No wind and plenty of sunshine. Not too far but enough to get exercise and breath fresh air for a change. I grab every chance I get in this season
Thats great. It’s good to get out every opportunity you get. I don’t get out much as I work from home and i am usually too shattered after finishing work.
Just hope your right Anne
