I support you 100%. I have botox Tuesday he fills 1 syringe and puts it in 4 places.
Nice guy. After Tuesday I’m going to force myself to do more exercises I have videos saved on YouTube. All American but I think they will help me. How did you stretch your arm love
The pain can come from gripping or wrist movements so you need to try & minimise these sorts of movements as much as you can. Not easy I know. It can take many months for tennis elbow to resolve & if you aren’t resting it enough that time will be longer.
I would probably try resting your arm a bit. The resting required to help tennis elbow is more like total rest. Not all the time but give it times in the day where you don’t use it. This combined with some gentle exercises will hopefully help it improve. Things like walking sticks add pressure which makes it difficult if you need a stick. Some people say walking poles are better. I haven’t tried them but could be worth looking in to.
Sounds like your botox is really helping you. Good to hear that you have another appointment in three months time as I know you were a bit worried this would be the last one because they had changed the clinic location.
Hi Anne. Well happy but the ambulance transport guy wasn’t nice he dragged me down the path and when I said let go he said he was helping me. Then we got to stepping down onto the road he pulled me and I nearly fell twice.
Unfortunately I got same one back so I told him to get wheelchair so I didn’t have to put up with same again.
Out of all the time I have had ambulance transport none of them have ever treated me like that all the way from last October.
I can complain and he will get dragged into the office but I’m going to see if I get him again and does same again then I will. Have you ever had botox Anne?
You know what Anne I have so much to do and it’s getting to me. Today I noticed in the mirror that my right eyebrow is higher than my left I do have videos but I have got in can’t be bothered mode as I feel I will be like this for the rest of my life so what’s the point.
I don’t want to feel like this but it’s hard to get out of. I still do squats and 1 leg stands and arm pulls as that is my routine but nothing else.
Am so fed up Anne it’s not easy doing things myself especially with no support here.
By the way my dad has been told he doesn’t have sciatica more likely 2 bones rubbing together.
When you have had a stroke it is life changing & there will be good and bad days. It can take a long time to recover from a stroke & not everyone will make a dull recovery. You have to concentrate on hhe positives & celebrate the small wins. You have come a long way even if it doesn’t feel like it. There does also need to be an element of acceptance that this is how life is right now whilst still working at improving. You have to continue to work at it if you want to improve but you also need to live your life. Try making your exercises part of your daily routine rather than a specific thing you do. Also try & focus on what you can do rather than what you can’t. This time of year doesn’t help as it is always dark & often dreary & makes it difficult to get outside but you have to try still. Fresh air is good for us even if it is cold. I don’t look in the mirtor any more (unless ai absolutely have to) as I don’t like what I look like now. If I can’t see it it can’t upset me.
You will improve more I am sure. Stay strong and keep going.
