I am in catch-up mode and coming with articles I missed or did not have a chance to respond to.
I must say, for me personally, this is such a wonderful and thoughtful post. Thank you so much
Interstingly, I note this posy is 11 months old and so may have fallen off the radar, but like some of you other posts, it’s one that should be pinned
As a carer myself, this is so heartwarming.
For us carers, caring for our loved ones is a labour of love and we don’t [necessarily] do it for the thanks. Personally, I get joy and thanks from the reactions on the face of my Mum. With stroke aphasia, she is non-verbal and has to express her thanks in other ways, bless her
Thank you to stroke survivors for allowing us to care for you and for your understanding when we may get it wrong or fall short of standards you might expect from us. We really do try you know
@ManjiB my hubby definitely deserves a wee dram or maybe the whole bottle I am extremely grateful for all he does for me & the support I get from my friends too. I couldn’t manage without them & I never take them for granted.
