Getting old

Did it have a button on the side Jordan to turn the rotor blades???

If so i had one if those too and AM could grip the yoke wuth his rubber fingers?

Had a winch i think too for rescues.

Always a plane geek though rather than choppers although i did remember watching Treasure Hunt fondly with Anneka Rice and Kenneth Kendal

Yup I remember Treasure Hunt & would always comment on Anaka Rice while in the Helicopter that there was far to much airtime on herself & not the helicopter pilot & controls

Thats the one i had @Jordan !!!

Big brother and myself went to a grammar school. When big bro started he had to do Saturday morning school. Two years later when I started, Saturday morning school was ended so I never experienced the pleasure? of Saturday morning school. However in my first year I still had to wear shorts and a cap (but no cap in lessons).

Guess i am older then because there were no televisions in my young days :grinning:
It is OK to get ā€œolderā€ … just dont get ā€œoldā€ I am 77 now … but my brain thinks I am much older … I worked up to retirement with teenagers, plus ran Brownie and Guide groups, so just always feel myself to be younger … just the joints and back are getting older … i need a new body :joy:…

I had left school by then but do remember many very cold winters on the Norfolk coast and yes, still schools were open and we all helped keep the paths clear of snow :slightly_smiling_face:

Do we all feel 10 years older after stroke ? I was lucky still to be working full time as gardener at 72 when the bolt from blue zapped me but most folk said I looked 10years younger . But now caught up with my peer group.:weary: is it just me that remembers flat cardboard caps on milk. One of 5 kids who once we heard milk delivered ran out to lift off caps and lick cream. All shops closed Good Friday. But allowed to go to back of bakers to get penny hot (we’ll warm)crossed buns

I rarely had any new clothes until I was in my teens. Big brother and myself were two years apart so I got all the clothes he had grown out of. By the time I had worn them for 2 years the clothes were just held together with plenty of stitching and patches. We then got a younger sister so my Dad’s plan to save money went pear shape! Grandma ran a full-time operation mending our clothes! It was grim up North!

My big bro 6 years older than me so never had his hand me downs until my first scout camp when my Mum-found his old uniform did I feel a proper Charlie with his shorts down to my ankles and lost in his shirt, the only plus’ was the sleeves were jam packed with badges I would never get so went around strutting like peacock showing them off

I rarely had new clothes too. I am the middle of 3 girls and I always got my elder sisters hand me downs. My younger sister is 4 1/2 years younger so she got new clothes.
