I do hope so @ManjiB hopefully by my 60th. As that’s 8 years away, i think it’s doable! ’m now out of hospital back at the nursing home and recuperating, still in a lot of pain, i’m hoping that we will get it under control in the coming weeks.

As you will know by now, what happens to you from now on is pretty much in your own hands. You will be the driving force and others will be there to assist you. I am sure there will be much support and encouragement from different places, some practical/physical, others moral.
By setting a goal (I believe you have set a SMART goal and I know you know what I am talking about) you have every opportunity to achieve it.
You have been here on this forum, and you know from your personal experience that sometimes we have to slow down and admire the view before we move on again. Right now, that is where you’re at. You’ve had surgery, and I expect the prognosis is good. You will no doubt have been given some advice, which if you follow should place you well to achieve your planned goal. In the event you require more advice or information, you will have opportunities to discuss these with your rehab team and/or consultant and if you own this, then there should be no problem.
Remain assertive, remain respectful and don’t go assuming things (you’re not an ASS and neither do you want to be one) and don’t go flying off the handle
There will be moments of frustration, possibly disappointments, but these are opportunities for you to stop and reflect on what has happened and what you can/should do next, whether that is a break and resume or a new plan or whatever.
Wishing you all the best dada mdogo!!
Edit - Just remembered an important point in all this.
You were already doing very well, having stood up with your private PT and so this has to work in your favour ![]()

Sushi is delicious. I make my own which I have on occasion. Sadly, there is no fishmonger in my town which means my fillings are limited. Looking forward to the photo. ![]()

@Mich-mm , I very pleased for you and your family. Plus, all that food I’m seeing in your pictures is making me hungry. It’s a step in the right direction. ![]()
