@garethc970 yay. Go you. Something great to look forward to. You’ll be absolutely fine i’m sure. I had a holiday booked before I had my stroke & thought really hard about cancelling it as it was only a few months after my stroke. I’m very glad I didn’t. I did have to book things like airport assistance & request room with walk in shower etc but it went ok. We weren’t able to do as much as we would have wanted to but enjoyed none the less.
Whete in Ibiza are you going? Party central or somewhere a little quieter?
Works going pretty good @SimonInEdinburgh just off most this month as I had a years worth to use before the end of this month. I believe that avocados have a been fine I’m excited as I’m going to Ibiza where I’ve wanted to go for years!
That’s brilliant . The first time you travel abroad after a stroke is understandably a worry but I’m sure you’ll be fine. I was adamant I would never go abroad again after my stroke 7 years ago. My main concern was that I would be unwell and would end up in hospital in a foreign country. Luckily for me, my brother lives in Spain and had all bases covered for our first holiday in Spain and we organised everything (special assistance etc) this end and we had a great time. We’ve been every year since.
So pleased for you and your family and I’m sure you will all have a great time in Ibiza . Look forward to hearing all about it.
Has anyone had to insure a mobility aid for going abroad? I have a rollator to help when I walk a distance and I don’t know how to insure that just in case
