Don't feel like doing much today

I don’t think my occasional daytime stints in bed will be coming to an end yet.

I resent the implication that resting is a form of laziness.

Take a look at those great predators, the lions. They spend a large part of their lives sprawled in family groups digesting their last kill.

Nature can be very hard.

Animals that graze stand around with full stomachs that ruminate and pass around vegetable matter which slowly ferments at an unhurried pace.

The demand that we, as humans, need to be continuously productively active in order to be regarded as functioning correctly, is only created by those who wish to use us to enrich themselves.

The work ethic demands we do not ever take time for ourselves when it is probably the most important thing we can do.

Keep on keepin’ on

I get up in the morning and do what I can do. When I need a rest, I take a rest. When I have completed a task I give myself a pat on the back.

Yeah! :slightly_smiling_face:

No matter how tired you think you are, you’ll never be as tired as a cat who’s done nothing all day!

Cats have learnt over millennia to allocate their energy levels according to their needs. Stroke survivors may well take a leaf out of our feline companion’s book.

Just spent the day in bed. Monday was physically tiring, Tuesday was mentally challenging; so Wednesday was spent recharging because my batteries were flat!
