Hello, my father had a stroke 6 years ago and my mother cares for him as he has no movement on one side. They would love to have some time away but my Dad really needs his electric profile bed; so they feel stuck in the family home. I can’t find any hotels that seem to offer electric profile beds - does anyone have any tips as to hotels who do, or where you can hire from? Thanks in advance to anyone who posts back!
Hi @danc52 welcome to the forum
I don’t have any personal experience but looking on the internet I found this site
And you need to look for this symbol beneath each hotel writeup:
I searched under for “hotels with electric beds for disabled uk” or just “holidays for disabled adults”, if that helps
Thank you EmeraldEyes, I did speak to that company and unfortunately it wasn’t what I expected. The hotels basically hire the beds in and the company appear to be just “middle men” booking both the hotel and the bed for a service charge. And the one hotel they told me in London did profile beds told me they didn’t when I asked them directly. I’ve registered on the site in the hope that other stroke survivors might have had more luck or experience than me in finding accomodation with electric profile beds - I do really appreciate you taking the time to kindly get back to me!
Not to worry, like I said I’ve no experience of this. But at least it keeps your post bumped to the top as ther’s others I do know may have better advice for you.
I wish you luck in your search and hope you both get to enjoy a little holiday soon

Just found this site. Hopefully it includes what you need.

Thank you so much Mrs5k, and I’m looking into that right now!

Thanks so much pamelai1. Really appreciated!
If Bournemouth is accessible for your mum and dad, they could try the Marsham Court. Accessible Hotel Rooms with additional features - Marsham
We stayed here for our first ever night away after my husband’s stroke and found the staff incredibly kind and helpful. It’s an old hotel and some of the corridors were a bit tight with a wheelchair but it was manageable.
jessicasplace.co.uk in East Yorkshire might be what you’re looking for
Thanks pricewhelans - that looks superb!
Thanks Winnie39. I really appreciate that!
Thanks SimonInEdinburgh - really helpful!
Hugely appreciated EmeraldEyes!
