We wax lyrical about the physical and physiological effects of stroke one side hemiparalysis,aphasia,peripheral vision and gait and locomotion issues but we don’t talk enough about the emotional effects ourselves and on family.my youngest daughter was in the middle of her A levels she was 19,she’s now 23 and I’ve missed most of her politics degree.i have to get to know her all over,her music taste has changed etc. it feels so awful to have missed so much.
