Hello anna the discourse app is no longer working on my ipad for at least 3weeks it was perfect but now none of the links are active and i can’t navigate the site so i’m back to using the internet which is rather clunky in comparison.
Hi @Mich-mm
Thanks for your message. Here are a few things you could try to get the app working again:
If it’s still not working after that, please submit a ticket to our Service desk so we can look into it further.
@anna. Please, where do i join?
Hi @Colint
If you let me know what it is you’re looking to join, hopefully I can point you in the right direction

@Anna_Moderator is there a way to make posts shorter? I struggle to read through such long comments, evwryone comment is very long it gives me fatigue to read so much, or is there a way I can use rwad aloud?
Hi @Fallenleaf
Unfortunately the Online Community doesn’t specifically have a read aloud option. However I have looked over a couple of different web browsers and have found some read aloud options on these. I’ve found these on Google and on Microsoft Edge. I’ve taken some screen shots of how to find these and put them below for you. These are for if you’re using the Online Community on a computer. On a phone these options are more limited, you could however temporarily turn on your phones in built ‘read aloud’ function which is usually found in the accessibility settings within your phone.
Google:
Click on the 3 dots in the top right corner of the browser
Click on the ‘more tools’ function
Click on the ‘reading mode’ function.
This will bring up a new pane, next to the one you want it to read, click the play button in the left hand corner of the new pane
Microsoft Edge:
In the top right hand corner of the search bar you will find the ‘read aloud’ function. Click on the capital ‘A’ which you can see below. This will read the page for you. It does read some of the page that you may not want it to before it gets to the message but it works well after that.
I hope this helps, please do let me know if I can help in any other way.
Anna
Hello @Fallenleaf if you are an apple user ipad or iphone or mac computer there is an inbuilt read facility: To enable Speak Screen or Speak Selection, go to Settings > Accessibility > Spoken Content and turn on the desired feature.
