Your Favourite Christmas Song

As it is nearly Christmas, I thought it would be nice to see what is collectively the favourite song of the members of this community.

This is partly in response to Auntie Beeb [allegedly] banning the new Live version of “A Fairytale of New York” by The Pogues and Kirsty MacColl which was expected to reach #1 in the charts. I believe Wham! finally managed to get to #1 with their “Last Christmas”

My personal favourite is
Stop the Cavalry by Jona Lewie.

I’ll try and tot them up if there is sufficient interest and maybe do a top three.

This one has been my favourite over the years. A shame about the dodgy Top of the Pops performance, though.

I was given the Christmas EP in 1976, loved the music and the artwork.

It’s old by now. I like the sentiment for Christmas. I think they raised a lot.

I’d forgotten about this. Thanks for the reminder. Makes me smile

Mum has gone for Mistletoe and Wine by Cliff Richard.
She delights (well she used to :frowning: ) in singing “We wish you a Merry Christmas”

It seems The Darkness have covered it

Wishing you a Merry Christmas
