I’ve worked from home; both pre and post stroke. I was Marketing Manager post stroke and pre stroke my earlier work from home experience was as an IT consultant.

I work from home but it’s an adjustment put in place for me following my stroke.

I had heard in the past that some 111 telephone operators work from home. The Stroke Association often advertise jobs working from home too.

I worked from home from the first Covid lockdown to retirement in 2024. The company sent nearly everyone home when we went into lockdown. It was very specialised work - research engineering in the aerospace sector - so unless you have relevant qualifications and experience you are unlikely to find work there.

Here’s the link to the Stroke Association’s jobs page which @Mrs5K mentioned. And I’ve noticed the job listed is actually home based. Hope it helps :slightly_smiling_face:

Hi @s00001, my spare bedroom has been my office for the past 16 years, so plenty of experience of it. I also work with distributed teams of home based workers and have often helped them with the challenges it raises. Are there any specific things you’d like to know about? Happy to give whatever advice I can.
