What a Nerve!

Our Easter holiday in Italy was of huge benefit for my nerves. This Spring (thanks to MSM) all my soft tissues and nerves have finally made a definite comeback. Follow, listen and learn about the complications of living without a nervous system for 3½ years. It’s no easy journey to go through the aftermath of a catastrophic stroke that left me with less than 0.1% chance of survival (according to medical AI and confirmed by experts). My rehab is still very much in progress, and I do present the upsides more than the downsides, but that’s how want to remember this whole ordeal !!!

I just watched this on the back of your QiGong video and again I am in awe

The way you are swimming is something.

You and Simonetta work very well as a team and the tribute to your grandmother is so lovely. I am sure she would have been proud of you both.

I wonder if you shouldn’t be sharing this with some researchers or other. I know you’ve got some sort of team you work with, but somebody should really be documenting this and using this as possibly a blueprint on stroke recovery.

Your story has to be one of the most inspirational and I really do think, given the current state of knowledge and expertise in certainly the UK healthcare system, that this should be promoted and used as training/educational/prescriptive.

I do hope to see one day, the Roland/Ronald @Pando guide to stroke recovery and maybe the medical profession receiving master classes in this.

I am blown away each time you come up with your [regular] updates.

Wishing you and Simonetta all the best and thank you both for taking time to put these things together and sharing them with the world

Way too kind, @ManjiB but you know, I think there’s nothing special about me ; I think anyone with the same amount of capability & determination would come up with a similar attempt to get their life back. The overwhelming desire to get better is simply off the chart ; just as it is in the case of your mother, and many others. These are the people I reach out to.

Having said that, there’s plenty of things that are not yet right with me ; plenty of anomalies to bust. And I’ll keep trying as long as I breathe. I made my channel in the hope it might help others, and yes, I am pro research, as long as I don’t get sidetracked from my mission. And that mission is to help others, and live to spoil my wife with memories, stories and our time together. It’s for her that I decided to survive my stroke. Ciao, thx for your kind words, Roland

You have come such a long way Roland. Your hard work, determination, persistence shines through & shows what can be achieved if you keep at it.

You & Simonetta are a great partnership & I am sure she is very proud of you. In each of your updates I can see the progress you are making.

I am 100% sure you will crack this recovery thing & get back to where you want to be.

A new research career on the horizon maybe

Best wishes

Ann

Thank you for supporting me all this time Ann ; I accept your comments on my progress with joy … life is never easy post stroke, and not every day is guaranteed to go smoothly, but the rewards (on the good days) are great !! Thanks again and I hope you are well, ciao, Roland
