Was it “putain” or “pute”, or something like that?
You better learn French, Roland.
Bobby speaks really good Franglish.
Simon speaks Edinboroughnese.
I speak Pennsylvania Dutch.

well worth a watch
Peut-être on disait “salope” dans le film, c’était ça?
Ton français est excellent, je dois le dire.
Salut!
Episode 4 , no spoilers !
@Matthew1798 & @pando
Should I flag your posts as not being understandable? !
Don’t think we have anything in the forum rules that are about posting in English - maybe we should have?
Or we just open a new category? Foreign language posts!?
Matthew I may live in Edinburgh (for nearly 30 years) but I’m English - born in London - are you Armish?
Ciao
Simon
No, I’m a Mennonite, actually.
I still have a horse and buggy.
Amish-people live in an hour or two away. Only Mennonites in my neck of the woods.
Ok…you’re from London…so you speak ENGLISH ENGLISH. Gotcha!
I would recommend Boiling Point and not because the lead character’s name is one i share. Honest.
Its a tough drama ans if anyone has worked in hospitality it might jog a few memories.
Nice to see you Andy .
I’d message you with the chat function but you don’t seem to show up so I’ll just DM/PM
Love Gene’s nickname for Alex - Bolly Knickers
Boat Story is good. I like Jo Scanlan (she’s great in No offence on 4 catch up.) For Matthew 1798, there’s a good French Sci fi I’ve just stated on BBC iplayer - Missions. It has subtitles too. If you like foreign films - Walter presents on 4 is great. If you want crazy - Fargo - on Prime is strangely addictive.
Thanks for your comment, @mikey903 .
We have started watching No Offence on BBC iPlayer and have been drawn in and captivated.
We spend more time on line than in front of the telly but a good television series fills in a regular hour in the evening after a meal.
We’ve tried the Walter Presents offerings but find the subtitles a distraction. Pity, the stories look good. At one time films like this used to be dubbed to great effect. I suppose it costs too much these days to be worth doing.
keep on keepin’ on
Can recommend Grace on ITVx with John Simms. Bit more gritty crime drama where accompanying his investigations as a police inspector, his wife has disappeared.
3 series so far and 4th in production.
Hello Bobbi, sorry you find the subtitles distracting. I guess I grew up with them. My 2nd language is German. They dub everything, which is good in a way when you’re learning.
Oh, try ‘Truelove’ on 4 catch up, it’s good.
I’ll have a look at Grace with John S, Nigel. He’s a good actor.
Just finished True Love , excellent! Also the couple next door, safe and Fool me once all worth a watch x
