Want to display a movie here on the forum? -- here's how

If you want to display movie footage.

You need to create a YouTube account and upload it there.
Then you can link to it from the forum.
It’s not as difficult as it sounds.

Here’s how to upload to your channel.

Here’s another:

I hope this is useful and good to know.

Messing with all that will fill your head with good stuff. Take your time and enjoy.

I’ve made a demo – follow blue link to view.

It would be great to have a space on the forum for stuff like this wouldn’t it?

I used to have a YouTube channel years before stroke, for a video game channel
Maybe I should pick up on it and start using it again,
actually I have just restarted it.

Let me know if you plan do your own channel.
The possibilities are unlimited.

Thanks for sharing Bobbi. I’ve never really delved into uploading videos to YouTube although I do watch videos on there.

I might have to give it a go sometime…just need to think of an idea :light_bulb:

For example, here’s my channel
https://www.youtube.com/@Start-Again-xyz
dedicated to all stroke survivors, indeed, all who wish to better their health !

@Mrs5K & @mrfrederickson
It is worth doing and isn’t as difficult as it appears.
I hope you’ll both give it a try.

This was shot on iPhone by Hilary and posted on my YouTube channel:

Not exciting stuff, but shows how it works.
You could display your own videos in the same way,
just follow the instructions on the first post in this thread.
You’ll be doing it in no time.

(I must get out and shoot some movies)

Brilliant Bobbi. I did chuckle when you went backwards instead of forwards. I did the same initially. The controls take some getting used to :grin: i ran into someone else’s scooter manoeuvring around a
Pavement cafe. Fortunately it was a very slow speed & they weren’t sat in it. :face_with_hand_over_mouth:

When I get an opportunity i’ll try a video. Only trouble is my hubby is rubbish at using a phone :rofl:

So here’s an update on that channel I’ve been inventing together with a little more movie footage.

you just upload your videos to your channel
then copy a link to the video you want to display
then paste the link here in a post on the forum.

Excellent Bobbi. The walking is going great. It did look cold at the beach mind. I’ve spent many a happy day at the beach when it is cold & raining.

I remember a trip to Rhyl as a kid & it was blowing a hooley & when we got back to our car we couldn’t see it as it was covered in sand :face_with_hand_over_mouth:

I was wondering Bobbi, can the handle bars be raised a bit as it can’t be good for your back being hunched over like that?
And tell @HHilary she should have worn her gloves :face_with_hand_over_mouth:

Gosh, that’s a blast from the past, I haven’t been to Rhyl in donkeys years, and Prestatyn beach next door, well near enough

Last time I went to Rhyl was for work, probably about 10 years ago now. They had started to do somebwork to smarten it up & where the work was complete it looked good but the rest was awful.

We had some happy times there as a kid but not somewhere I’d think to go now. I’m lore a Llandudno lady now :rofl:

They can, Lorraine. I am always too excited and want to get going. In the rush to get away I forget to pull them up higher, which is easy to do. They adjust quite easily, I have no excuse and should heed your advice. (I am talking about my scooter handlebars!)

Thanks for your concern, I will take note @EmeraldEyes
