Has anyone had a stroke and then been diagnosed a few years later with Vasculitis?

Thank you for reading and replying- I had a CVST in 2017 which nobody seemed to find the cause of the only indicator I ever had was that they suspected I had viral meningitis
Then in 2023 after being really poorly for a good few months I have been diagnosed with vasculitis and was curious if any fellow stroke survivors also have vasculitis.

I was wondering if you took / take calcium channel blockers (CCB) before / after being diagnosed with vasculitis? Where does it manifest itself at first, may I ask? I can feel my immune system a little bit out of whack, and it wouldn’t surprise me if vasculitis after stroke just hasn’t been reported. The other way around is more common, I guess.

Hi - no I did not take ccb vasculitis affects people in many different ways mine has affected my upper respiratory I have asked my consultant if it is associated with my stroke but was told no
I am not convinced so am just reaching out and curious if anyone else has similar history.

I agree with you that there might be a connection with stroke ; there are so many things that I have suffered post stroke that never showed any signs of disturbance pre-stroke. I have countless examples of disputes between professionals who try to explain bizarre symptoms that happen to me. Let us know what you find. Good luck
