Unexpected dizzy spell

Hello friends,
10 months since my stroke. Recovering well. Dizziness isn’t a feature for me mostly. Last night I got up in the night and was dizzy. This morning it’s much better but a bit remains. Am assuming this is because I was out yesterday going shopping, having breakfast, taking a walk etc. maybe this is delayed payback for forgetting about fatigue? What do you think? My incoming stroke was a flash of dizziness followed by terrible pain all night. This is quite different but anything dizzy related makes me nervous.

It could well be a consequence of overdoing it yesterday. When I am fatigued I get jncreased dizziness & nausea. But I also get dizziness as part of my strokec afects. Did you get up too quick ? That can make you dizzy.

If you are worried seek advice from 111.

Hi
Yes I’m guilty of getting up too quick but don’t usually have a problem none other thing I did have yesterday was that when heading home my photophobia ( my most debilitating symptom) was worse. So I’m thinking it’s all sensory overload. I’ve been overdoing it every day this least week.I did have dizziness early in my recovery. So maybe it’s a regression due to overload ? I’m just going to feed myself and rest today

It does sound like overload. Taking it easy today is a good idea. I am doing the same as I too am dizzy today as I have overdone it too.

You have - you just need to try it
There are various phrases such as one step at a time etc.
If you take one step and then take another when all you can manage is one, then you will soon realise you are burning energy taking the net [extra] step.
You don’t necessarily need to over do it, just do a little more when you can and build on it.
Overdoing it usually happens from enthusiasm gone one step too far
