Trying to look after stroke victim

Yes. NHS policy talks about and emphasises patient choice, but all too often people with poor health and those more disabled are pressured into agreeing what they would rather not. A lot of it is to with risk management. Regrettably, social services frequently go along with this.

@DavidHearnden @IreneFC , I’m glad you mentioned it, because that happened to me. There was a lot of pressure and cajoling put upon me regarding my mum’s wellbeing. The current and previous social workers were not supportive either. They too pressured and cajoled. This situation just proves that some (not all) social workers and social services don’t listen to family members and some get hostile when they are been questioned. I thought these people and organizations are suppose to work with the sick, disabled and their family members…? Apparently not.

It’s saddens me that authorities put a price tag on sick and long-term disabled peoples heads. Profit over people, it makes me sick! :unamused_face:
