Transfer Mum nearer to her children

Hi @HelenaPo
Hello & Welcome

Some things will be out with most folk here’s direct experience cos we are under the Scottish NHS

1st rather than the Stroke Association our support (in theory?) comes from Chest Heart and Stoke Scotland

They run support groups who are a great source of peer knowledge how-to advice & street- smart navigation of local services.

See

There’s a map on the webpage that shows where they are

CHSS should provide you with a Stroke Liaison Nurse. I found my 1st a bit mediocre but the second was really helpful
Ask their support line if they haven’t reach out

adviceline@chss.org.uk
0808 801 0899

There’s loads of stuff on the web site https://www.chss.org.uk

Maybe the refusals from NHS would be helped by reaching out to PASS[1] who are our equivelents to the English pals

https://careinfoscotland.scot/topics/your-rights/patient-advice-and-support-service/#:~:text=PASS%20is%20an%20independent%20service,other%20matters%20affecting%20their%20health.

It’s run by Citizens Advice Bureau

Where are you & mum?

You might find 40 things gives you & siblings useful perspectives.
