To hot to think and gardening with one hand

I’m trying out my recent purchase in the hot garden today, not ideal but if my wife wants to cut the lawn in this heat I’m not leaving the job part done so got my STHL edging tool into use, battery operated electric and one hand with two blades one for edging and one for shrubs and bush trimming.

I feel more useful now and she used it around the rockery for trimming long grass.

Excellent Mark, that looks like a great gadget and really happy that you have been able to assist your wife with the garden. I know that is something that bothers you. It is very warm out there today. Love the hat

Thanks Ann, my Australian bush hat is more suitable for our hot weather than any other and I may get a sombrero hat if the climate changes to this type of weather every year :winking_face_with_tongue:

I look forward to seeing the sombrero pictures

Mark, that tool looks great! I always love seeing a new little tool. My husband found a miniature chain saw-the saw part is only about 6 inches-- it has been so useful and easy to use. I wonder if I could use your trimmer to trim my husband’s hair! Ha Ha. Happy gardening! :shamrock:

As long as he doesn’t fidget the tool will complete the job bu one slip and he could be earless!!

Good luck I’m going to try it on the shrubs with the bigger blade when autumn comes

Great tool Mark! Every bit helps to make life easier and gives us some satisfaction when we achieve something, however big or small that triumph is! Would you care to come and sort my garden out? Ha ha… Take care and enjoy your garden.

I wear a sombrero all through Summer as my father did before me, I sometimes get cheeky comments from kids but I explain that it is the most advanced Mexican anti-melanoma technology available.

Anything is possible but today I thought I’d try the bush trimming blade

With my low to the ground manual wheelchair I was able to edge the grass and trim some n overhanging bushes too near our deck

Hi Lara tell Gary there is acsecondvshrub trimming blade which came in handy today.

After all my work still had over half the battery life left , not too shabby

I’m going to expand use to standing upto reach the taller shrubs as long as the chair is nearby and I’m conscious of my balance needs

Good for you !
I like the plants in pots at convenient height to tend them from a seated position.
