I’m eight weeks post stroke and have started to get a tightened in my throat. I feel like I have a lump there when I swallow.
It was one of the first things they checked when I first had my stroke and it was fine. Has anyone else experienced this?

@Pisceslady2023 could it be stress/anxiety related? I know I had similar years ago & it was put down to stress. This was pre stroke.
Are you managing to eat ok? Hopefully food isn’t getting stuck.
If it persists you should get it checked out. Maybe your insomnia isn’t helping.

No it’s definitely not stress related. I’m not anxious about anything at all. I can eat fine too.
I’ll mention it to my GP next time

I had that in the early months of my recovery. I used to do a lot of stretching exercise for it which helped a lot for me. Basically just pushing the back of your tongue and larynx down as far and hard as you can, hollowing out the back of your throat. It did gradually recover over the months but I couldn’t tell you how long it took.
Alternatively, maybe you’ve got a throat infection/tonsillitis something like that.
