I’ve seen this written by someone from the stroke association on several messages recently and wondered why this is thought necessary/good practice. Perhaps whoever writes them could explain.

That is not encouraging community at all.
That comes across as a warning to “Stay The Hell Away From Admin”.
Hi @mum2two
Thanks for raising this query. The 5-hour window was originally intended to keep discussions focused and manageable, making it easier for the team to review feedback without long or off-topic conversations. The message you see is an automated message which comes from the system.
As you’ve suggested there have been a few conversations around this topic. To save any confusion with auto closing categories we have decided to close this sub category and instead direct all feedback through our feedback form which you can find more information about here Community update – why we need your feedback . This will help us better manage your input and avoid any issues with auto-closing topics. We will also update the community on this decision too.
I hope this helps.
Anna
Does that mean you will not be closing the posts, you haven’t made that very clear.
Ann
It means they have shut off all forms of communication other than the Feedback form. If you have any form of online issues with the forum we will have to use the form, which will be duly looked into sometime never.
Hi @mum2two and @EmeraldEyes
I’d like to clarify, when the sub-category was removed, all posts within it were deleted as part of the process.
Staff are open to communicating with community members and have been gaining feedback to get peoples thoughts on the best way to do this. In the meantime. If you want to get the attention of the team, please tag “@” them or contact them through the service desk.
Hope this helps to clarify. Please do use the Online Community in the way it is intended - by continuing to offer invaluable support to each other.
Anna
