Well I’ve been in my new home just over a year and finally convinced my wife that a lunch date at our local pub was a worthy use of our lunch break. So I saddled up and we walked in
The lunch date was great the food sublime and not been into that particular pub in ten years ,
It’s changed ownership but still as good as the first visit
The only difference is I’m disabled and nothing is easy anymore
Well done Mark.
I bet your Mrs was made up to be getting out on a date, especially as you were accompanying her.
Here’s to sharing things all over again.
Thanks Bobbi, yes it was a break in the monotony of the current situation and very welcome.
The food was not too expensive and well prepared and went down well.
We will return as regularly as funds allow and my diet permits plus our nemesis of diabetes which needs continuous monitoring sadly,
Thanks mrs5k,
Hoping to make it a regular thing as we need a break from the grind plus it takes us back to our courting days when life was better I was not a cripple and some vestige of youthful life was there.
Yes on the life front I’m getting there just pain and mobility of left leg and arm holding me back
I know there are many people in a worse state than me and would love to be as good as I am , walking a bit wobbly but up on both legs and having eyesight deemed good enough to take a driving assessment after 5?years of optical nerve recovery something I was told rarely ever happens.
