A further update to my two earlier posts.
My husband really is not bothered about eating now. He says it all tastes the same.

He does eat what I cook but asks for just a small portion. His favourite thing is an omelette. He won’t even eat biscuits or crisps or any treats.

It is no use suggesting a meal out or even brunch as he would not be interested. We used to love a pub breakfast. He has agreed to come to my daughter’s afternoon tea for her birthday but only if he and I share one. I’m happy with that.

Try & add some extra calories into what he eats. Cheese in omelette for example. It’s difficult when food doesn’t taste right. I completely lost my appetite & it never came back (ornot yet) so I eat because i have to not because i enjoy it. I add extra calories where i can.

Enjoy your afternoon tea. I love afternoon tea.

We had a nice time thanks and shared one afternoon tea. Daughter and boyfriend had one each. Worked perfectly.

Since his stroke he doesn’t like cheese but I usually add some to his omelette and a load of mushrooms. He doesn’t notice the cheese!
He had egg and cress sandwich and a smoked salmon one this afternoon and several little bite sized cakes.

Glad you enjoyed the afternoon tea. Sounds like your husband managed a bit of food too. One of my favourite things to do although there is always too much to eat.
