Switching between Website to Forum and back to website

Hi @Nicola_Moderator, as I said I would, here is the other issue I wanted to mention between the website and the Forum (Online Community), and that is transitioning between the two.

On the SA website homepage, when you click any link to another page, you only have to click the Stroke Association logo to get back to the homepage.
And to get to the forum from there, you have the Forum button.

But once you are on the forum, there is no way back to the websites homepage.

The Stroke Association logo on the Forum is set to bring you back to the Forum homepage after entering things like your profile page for instance.

When you enter a post, there is an ā€œSā€ to click on to bring you back to the forum homepage.

In my view, the Stroke Association logo on the Forum home page should be set to take you to the SA website homepage the same as is on the website itself.

Clement set up this home button on the forum because there wasnā€™t one when I joined. And it was such a pain in the beam end to get back to the homepage, sometimes having to shut down and start up again. So I was more than grateful enough when he set this one up, I didnā€™t want to upset the applecart any further

On the forum home page, there should really be a button to the SA websiteā€™s homepage.

I do hope this is as clear as mud for you Nicola, but Iā€™m happy to do another zoom session to talk you through it if not  I know Iā€™ll look at this again later and wonder what the heck I was talking about

You can get back to the website by clicking on News in the sidebar menu and clicking on the logo from there. But to do that you have to be able think of it. And in early post stroke recovery, your ability to figure out, to problem solve, is pretty much zero for many; time limited by fatigue and short term memory limits. By the time you figure out how to get back to the website youā€™ve forgotten why you wanted to go there

Hi @EmeraldEyes,

Thank you so much for taking the time to provide your feedback regarding the navigation between the Stroke Association website and the Online Community. Iā€™ll make sure to pass this along to Nicola.

In the meantime, although itā€™s not a perfect solution, you can navigate back to the Stroke Association website by clicking the ā€˜Our websiteā€™ link located footer.

We also have links in the ā€˜Useful Linksā€™ section of the sidebar that will take you back to the main website.

Thanks again for your feedback!

All the best,
Alex

Of course you can! Why didnā€™t I think of that
Maybe thatā€™s because I donā€™t always think; rarely get that far down the screen either :face_with_hand_over_mouth:
And if thereā€™s a long way around Iā€™m the one thatā€™s sure to find it

Oh no, does this mean Iā€™m going into my second childhood :scream: Iā€™m only 62ā€¦I think  If itā€™s not right there in front of me then itā€™s just not there; lost and gone forever :sob:
Shh  if my kids ever found out about this theyā€™d never let me live it down.
I could lose my ā€œmum can find anythingā€ badge :flushed:

Thanks for pointing that one out Alex and passing this on
