Sunflower seed update/growth

:sunflower:

Hello, I wanted to share the progress and growth of my Sunflower seeds that I planted on my stroke anniversary.
Fortunately we have had some lovely warm days of sunshine and also some rain last night so my garden is looking very happy and lush :herb: :sunflower:

Not long now and I’m hoping that they will be blooming in time for Christmas.
Happy first of December to you all from New Zealand

Hi @ManjiB

Thank you so much !

I am lucky to live at home with my Mum who has taught and shown me so much about gardening.
It’s definitely become my new favouritee hobby since having my stroke.

Warmest wishes to you

Hi Alice - My Mum was a keen gardener too! She used to work on a mini-farm in her home town.
This plant is one she grew from a 4 " cutting. She planted it a few months before her stroke.
She was very excited about it because it is a hugely important plant in Hinduism and she is deeply religious. She also loved planting Basil (Tulsi).

I am afraid we haven’t done a good job of looking after the Tulsi this year and I am sure she gets annoyed when she sees the state they’re in but I will try to tidy them up.
They are actually very beautiful in the spring time when they have been pruned and allowed to grow again. They could do with re-potting too!

There is also her beloved apple tree in the garden - I shared that on this forum too under the hobbies or photos post that Bobbi set up
