Sorry sent by accident before finishing. I was supposed to have angioplasty left arm this month, but hospital are now trying to refer me to a hispital in Bristol or Cardiff , feels like I’m being passed around and no one wants to do the op. I’ve had 3 TIAs since January and h@ve been told by A&E Stroke consultant that I probably will have a full blown stroke sooner rather than later. I’m now wondering if anyone will help. It’s seems they need vascular and stroke teams in order to do this procedure to stop debri breaking off and entering the brain causing a stroke or brain death as I was told. Not sure what to do now. So worried.

Gosh that’s worrying
Contact PALS
And your local MP & get your GP & any consultants and ask them how they can help and what they recommend to give you the duty of care they owe

@Janwhy thst must be a real woory for you. I think they’re probably trying to make sure they have the right specialists available for the operation so that you have the best possible care that you need. Have you asked them how long you’ll have to wait? Whether you join their waiting list at the appropriate point or whether you have to start the wait again.
As Simon mentions you could ask PALS to look into it for you. You could also dpeak yo your GP to see if there is anything they can do to push for the op for you.
In the meantime try & stay as stress free as you can as stress can increase stroke risk.
Best wishes
Ann
Thank you Ann I will speak to GP next week. I’m trying not to stress but it’s been going on for so long now it’s very hard. I will try PALS too.
