Stroke Zine Book review

We have a site member who answered one of my post telling me she has had a book published. I ordered it and am pleased to say that I have thoroughly enjoyed reading it. The book is ‘Number 81’ available through Amazon. It is a very unusual setting, based on a house in Shrewsbury. It revolves around people who have lived in the house and the connections to it. The story starts in 1898 and progresses to modern times. The author says that the idea came from her own experience on a family research site. It is a very well crafted book with a story that had me hooked from the start. I can highly recommend it. I do hope that there is another book to come. Best wishes Norma.

Shrewsbury is an interesting place must be steeped in history. I can understand how it could stimulate a creative response.

It was a great book wasn’t it. I thoroughly enjoyed it and think @christine2 has a great talent. I’m definitely looking forward to book 2.

Shrewsbury is very nearby to me so was almost like reading about home. I worked in Shrewsbury before my stroke.

I think it’s wonderful if we share book reviews, but you didn’t say what the book is called or the author’s name!

Sorry Mich-mm, I did give the title but not the authors name. We know her as christine2, but I didn’t want to give her real name (regarding privacy matters). She has now revealed her name for us. I heartily recommend the book. It is an unusual topic and I wish I’d thought of it! Best wishes Norma
