Stroke Zine A nice encounter

Yesterday, for no reason at all, I was dragged, kicking and screaming, from my comfy chair to a local pub for lunch. We do go there regularly and to be honest it’s just like going to a friends house for a meal. The food is superb, you can order whatever size meal you want from a very diverse menu. The staff are very attentive and interested in you and how you are.
I was wearing my lanyard explaining my aphasia difficulty, when one of the waitresses asked what it meant. I briefly informed her, then she told me that a relative had experienced a stroke too and had similar problems. Just by luck I had a duplicate card so I gave it to her. She was quite pleased, so I also told her about our merry band on the forum and how to reach us. So we may be getting another new member; but the problem is that I only know our waitresses name. So hopefully if the person does join us, no doubt we shall welcome them whole-heartedly as we always do.
Best wishes all, norma

Sounds like a nice lunch all round. Hopefully your waitress or their relative will join us. I am positive they will receive the usual warm welcome.
