Stroke Travel Insurance

@Gorrie I was worried first time I travelled after my stroke but I am glad I but the bullet and went. You can book special assistance without any need for any proof of disability. Either book with holiday company, airline or direct with airport. I can walk a little bit but very slowly and not without causing fatigue so I use assistance and get a wheelchair and my husband pushes me through the airport. They do have staff that will do it if necessary too.

As Sue has said make sure you declare all your medical conditions on your insurance. And I would say do your research before you go to make sure you can make the most of things whilst away. For example I need a walk in shower. You’d be amazed how many hotels have showers over a bath.

Hope you get to Rome. I am sure you’ll enjoy it loads.

@Gorrie You can book, ask for assistance, get good travel insurance which will be more expensive because of stroke. Good luck :four_leaf_clover:
