No let up I need a pain holiday please dear lord
I’ve been getting some of that painful restless twitching that I thought was behind me.
Could it be a weather/climate heat thing?
At least it isn’t continuous, appearing when I’ve been laid down or sat for a while.
(I’d accept a holiday break any time)
Sorry to hear that Bobbi, mine is brain generated and my arm and shoulder hurts with internal cold pain.
The pain relief is causing more adverse reactions than it cures so I’m backing it off until there is none and I can make van honest decision based on no drig related symptoms clouding my normal state.
Could be the reduction of the neuronpathidrug is making these bouts of. Old pain worse.
Time will tell but it he gabapentine creates pain in 5%of patients using it so I need to know what life without it is like.
Hope that pain holiday arrives soon for you.
I’ve always avoided offers of pain relief. I have heard similar that these drugs can inflame and be a cause of pain.
In hospital I was offered, sleeping medication, pain drugs, stuff to make you go to the toilet and so on, they must have thought I was ungrateful but my attitude was that these things would, given time, right themselves.
It was my choice and I don’t believe I should inflict my choices on others. I think we should each pick our own way. After stroke there is certainly a lot of picking and choosing to be done.
I’m not sure that there are wrong ways or right, but there is a mountain of uncertainty.
I hope you find directions that bring you to a brighter future.
Me too Bobbi it’s a experimental phase but I want to be free of the nhs provided pain relief with all their side effects
Mee too I’m sure it will get back to my regular two day good two day bad
do you take magnesium supplementation?
No used to but it has dropped off the pile I take, could be linked
Our house move now a year ago showed a number of things missing or lost like my vitamin D tablets, will investigate
can you tell me more about “2 good days - 2 bad days”?
Yes up until a month ago would have two days of cold pain and hypersensitivity then a day of normal sensitivity and low pain in walking followed by another low pain day when walking. Last year I had one day in a month when I felt human and could walk pain free to the end of the road or around the local garden centre.
This has since changed to permanent hypersensitivity and painful walking. Something I am sucking up to have any mobility or sense of life.
Found the magnesium tablets back on them let’s see
