There is an article in the Daily Mail today about a young woman who had a stroke caused by coughing.

My first reaction ; I bet there was an underlying cause?

I haven’t seen the story but thinking about the type of stroke i had (carotid artery dissection) I can imagine it happening. I was asked if I’d done anything that could have caused my artery to dissect (e.g. jarred my neck, been to hairdressers etc). It will be extremely rare though as @pando has said.

I was thinking that. Probably going to happen anyway just the coughing sped it up
