It depends on the sort of thing you like to do. Perhaps go out with family/friends for a meal, coffee etc. Or a day out doing something you would like to do. Challenge yourself and celebrate how you do.

I used my 1st anniversary to reflect on how far i’d come and plan where I wanted to be by my 2nd anniversary. My 2nd anniversary passed by very quietly with no mention of it.

Whatever you decide I hope it’s a positive day for you.

Best wishes

Breathed a great sigh of relief, opened Christmas presents then tried to dance around the kitchen with my hubby and mother-in-law whilst they tried to cooking the Christmas dinner and made a general nuisance of myself😆 But who cared, we were loving life,
my m-i-l had survived pancreatic cancer, I’d survived my stroke, life was looking very good😁

Sadly she passed away 5 months ago

You can go the reflective route, using the day to journal, meditate, or just think about how much they’ve overcome.
