@Clairekirby1990 , I too was a carer when I was 11yrs old. That was when I started to slowly become a full time carer. It started with my grandma (on my dad’s side). So I know the peaks and troughs your son is going through. I reckon in time, he’ll start to understand. ![]()
@JohnnyBoy81 I understand you completely.
@IreneFC , thanks. Just speaking from experience.
Hes 10
Thank you so much
@Clairekirby1990 , fair play. Do so soon.
Often kids don’t see the forest for the trees and tend to oversimplify things which is natural, I guess, for developing brains. I would imagine that if both parents together explained that a stroke can happen to anyone and is not triggered by any particular person. It’s a force majeure and nature’s way of reminding us that we are not gods.
Hey JohnnyBoy - Did you already scream? If not, please do it now!
Even if you already did, scream again.
Take care mon ami.
Namaste|
@ManjiB , tried to the other day. Made myself hoarse. Right now, my raw emotions are like a rollercoaster, up and down. Just feel empty inside at the moment. The lyrics from “I’m a little bit off” by 5 Finger Death Punch sum me up at the moment. I heard it on the radio as I woke up this morning. ![]()
O no poor you
message if you wanna chat
@Clairekirby1990 , cheers. I’ll let you know.
I listened to it, was expecting something harder, more akin to Black Metal but the song has a melodic Californian strum to it. This empty feeling is what I get on occasion, sometimes one has to just bide one’s time until one is full again.
O bless ya were all there for each other
@Rups , granted. There is a fair bit of swearing on it but, I love the lyrics. It’s really about coping with anger. It’s just the song itself speaks to me. Also, I like the melodic strum. As a former musician, I appreciate the musical composition. Just like many, many others.
@Clairekirby1990 , as Spandau Ballet said “this much is true”. ![]()
