Solider through extreme stiffness…walking physio daily tasks …. lately Spascity reaching its peak to point can’t sleep having panic attacks so started beta blockers as couldn’t take the racing heart beat…
This is probably one of those situations where you do have to try & push through to a certain point but not overdo it and make yourself worse. It’s about finding the right balance for you.
Hope the beta blockers help with your panic attacks and you can get a good nights sleep again.
Hi @Nico1986 sorry to hear you are struggling at the moment with panic attacks and lack of sleep.
Unfortunately everyone’s stroke reccovery journey is unique and only you know how far you can push yourself and when you need to rest and recover. We all need to find our happy medium.
I hope the beta blockers help you to get some sleep and ease your panic attacks.

How can u make yourself worse? Just walked 3 miles very slowly much needed time out house mentally
Sorry, I meant if you overdo things you can make yourself feel poorly & can make yiur stroke affects worse temporarily. Or at least that’s the impact it has on me. If I do too much today I feel rubbish for the next few days.

Gone really loose today after a 3 mile walk not sure if good or bad but was expecting very heavy

If you are comfortable with your current regimen and it is helping with your mental and physical condition then you should carry on doing this and if possible build on it.
The only cautionary note I might add would be to listen to your body and your mind and if fatigue kicks in then you may need to slow down, or it may be the case that you are coping very well and so just make sure you get plenty of rest (sleep) and keep well hydrated.
Today’s walk seems to have put you on a high as you say you feel loose - I would take that as a good thing, but do allow time for rest and recovery.

I wouldn’t say high as such more cautious tbh as seemed stronger stiff, probably just tired be good if stayed loose however
Could some of stiffness been muscle fatigue perhaps, as would normally happen whenever you exercise as the muscles will tear and repair and strengthen? If you are feeling really loose today then it’s likely that was the reason.
