Hi Folks
Had to get out of the house yesterday, getting cabin fever.
Short trip on the pennine trail mainly to test my new camera. Had it a while but its been sat in the box.
Wanted to check zoom and also close up etc.
Seems ok, Shots came out fairly good.

As Ann says fresh air and the open sky can have beneficial effects on many levels.
Photography is a great hobby and this forum is a good space to share what you’ve captured.
Your pictures will bring pleasure to many. I know from personal experience that they can help one build hope and begin to form dreams of positive possibilities.
It is four years since I experienced the incident called stroke. Input from others on this forum has been inspiring and has encouraged me onwards. I truly believe that by communicating together it is possible to find ways of dealing with the limitations imposed by stroke. We owe this to one another.
Accepting a passive role, waiting for someone to help, can produce results but, in my opinion, being more active and looking for our own answers and sharing what we find does much more towards improving our lot.

Lovely photos. I can smell the fresh air. I’m going out today to a wheelchair-friendly walk down a lime tree avenue. The limes will be in flower, and they smell so good! I am stuck indoors so much, and really appreciate going out. Prior to the stroke, I was always out of doors. I am lucky enough to live on the edge of a National Park, but I can’t get out in it much nowadays.

Its my first attempt at Photography in a serious form really.
Ive always loved art in its many forms.
I call myself a watcher, Recently invited to a family event, I always find a place to sit out of the limelight lets say.
Then i watch haahah. Look at peoples facial expressions when talking. How the light catches and highlights their features and so on.
Even things like body posture and body language.Body language has come in handy over the years. Being able to spot potential problems with folk.
I used to love History until i found out that most of it is simply not true haha.
History would be a wonderful thing -if it were only true=Tolstoy.
Im a loner i think is what im trying to say. So very late in life thought why not produce something postitive out of all this watching.
The Flower caught my eye becuase of the tiny water droplets and small pool crated on the leaf southwest fo the blossom.
Very grateful to this forum as i can be open on here without sitting in a corner somewhere

I hope you have a great time on your little trip.I too love the smells of the countryside, Apart form when the local farmer is spreading the fileds lets say hahah.
Favorite time of year to ride the trail is winter after a light snow.
Looking at the tracks and inprints of animals that are in the area.Seen many fox tracks on my travels and even badger activity.
For me after a light snow the world seems new, Even the air seems fresh and not tainted by polution.
Do you take a camera with you to capture event when out ?.

I don’t take a camera - needs too many hands. The lime avenue was glorious today. Well, there are two. One goes along the moat of the castle, then you can cross over to the next one that goes back along the river. There are often ducks and wild geese, but the young don’t survive well - crows and foxes pick them off so sad for the quackers. There was a swan nest this year the river path barricaded off from walkers so they didn’t upset the swans. But they have moved on now. It’s a lovely place to go.

That sounds a wonderful place to vist. I love the idea of a Castle and moat.
Nature is beautiful and brutal at the same time isnt it.
When i see things like Castle or even really old building it gets me wondering what life was like for the folk who built them.

Its just a cheap Chinese Monitech N700.Half the price of Cannon and the popular makes.

@Gravel , aah. My mates’ wife’s camera is an older model SLR camera. It almost looks like that model.

The fact that your pictures are stamped with time and date will be very useful as you accumulate lots of images.
I take photos with a smartphone. I’m right side disabled which means it is difficult to handle a conventional camera. I know there are ways around that but it all becomes too much faff.
Making images by whatever method is a creative process and as such is a valid and valuable communication tool.

When do the trike runs i attatch my mobile to handle bar clamps as well as carry the camera. I video when ever i have to go on the road. Had some close calls on the road.
