I do those 3 steps every day, but draw the line at calling 999

Hello Peter - Nice to meet you.

I note from your introductory post you have survived multiple strokes and it’s nice to have you join this community to share you experiences.

Thank you for sharing this tip about reverse gravity assisted blood flow to slow down damage from strokes. The three steps in your simple procedures are clear enough. You finish by saying call 999 immediately.

Just for clarification, is it the case this is something you do when you think you are about to have a stroke (e.g. FAST stroke guidelines) and hence the dialling 999 to get emergency help.

The reason why I seek clarification is because I use a similar technique to help my Mum to improve blood circulation in her body. She is a stroke survivor with limited mobility and she can’t do a headstand which is what I as a non-stroke survivor do.

For Mum I do exactly what you say but we have a medical bed and so I just tilt the bed so her head is below the level of her feet and use pillows to further raise the feet. I let her lie in this position for as long as she can tolerate it, usually about 10 minutes a day.

Thank you and sorry if this is a dumb question.
