Hi, I thought I would show you what I have been doing today . It was very relaxing and taste. I am now wiped out but I did enjoy myself.
xx
Wow.Nicely done .They look great. Do you ship to US?![]()
@love that is a fine bit of baking there should rest up and be proud of your achievements. I trained as a chef before my career switch and that there is art,
Thank you I did relax and they did taste very nice.
These look great!
I teach Food Technology in a secondary school so cooking feels like work to me. You have inspired me to think about it again though as you are right baking is relaxing.
I have a strange relationship with food since my stroke 7 weeks ago though. I have read a few others on here that have been the same. To me I never have any appetite, I have gone off lots off food I used to eat. Nothing tastes right at all and some food smells just really put me off now. I was a good eater before and loved to try different foods. Now everything is small bites and what I would describe as ‘beige’ food.
I have been mainly drawing and painting to try to relax and switch off when I have the energy and am in the right head space.
Here’s my latest painting I am working on of my Dad’s cockapoo:
Take care
Natalie
Wow that is a fantastic painting, with the cheeky Tonge sticking out.
Wow - I’ll be round in 10!
they look amazing.
After my 2nd (thankfully mild) stroke I changed to a (basically) Mediterranean diet and as others have written my relationship with food has changed. I do have a loss of appetite but when I make food (I know I have to eat well to keep well & keep getting better) I have no trouble eating it and (usually!) end up enjoying new and different tastes which I am still trying out.
I think I can feel the start of an appetite ![]()
Also….. Lovely painting of the cockapoo (MrsG16) - I thought it was a photo. Incredible talent.
Wow that food looks delicious. I think you might have many guests for the forum coming around for a tasting session ![]()
