Hear hear. There should be a complete overhaul of the system. I too am going through a tough time with social service, social workers and some staff in the care home. @DavidHearnden I’m glad you have (sort of) come out the other side. I feel social workers and social services use a heavy handed approach in terms of dealing with individual case (such as my mother). As I said, it galls me not been their to help her. I’m also tired of their condescending attitude towards me “Putting your mum in a care home was the last thing we wanted”. I call BS on that! If a campaign is ever set up, I’ll support it. New reforms and help for carers of stroke victims is something I’ll support, no problem.
