I’ve read quite a few posts about walking and staying safe. After my stroke I had the usual zimmer frame which I hated. I then moved on to a single walking stick, but I was still nervous and felt unsteady at times. A friend loaned me her walking poles and I found these to be much better for me, so I bought my own. I’m still careful about where I walk, but overall I feel much more confident with them. I can actually move a little quicker with them, funnily my physical tolerance is better too. They may not suit all, but worth a try? Happy walking. Norma

I have heard many people say walking poles are better than walking sticks. I am guessing it depends on where you are in your recovery, but I have heard lots of positive things about them.
Happy walking too.
